My Top Takeaway: God IS on the move amongst some of the most unreached people on earth.
He has not forgotten them. He knows their stories. He knows their name. He knows that many are lost and serve other gods and need to hear the truth.
He has given many of us abundant resources to use for HIS kingdom.
And thousands of you are doing exactly that.
Takeaway #2: The water crisis is… everywhere.
I’m very familiar with all of the statistics: 771 million people worldwide lack access to clean water, that’s approximately 1 in 10 people. The water crisis is a known major crisis, but I just wasn't expecting to see it so quickly upon arriving in Ethiopia.
After a flight from the capital to a smaller town, we were in the car for not even 5 minutes and saw jerry cans lining the road with women waiting beside a small stream. Beneath a bridge we drove over, dozens of people were bathing and trying to collect water from a muddy river.
For six hours, all we drove past were women and families constantly walking along the road carrying their jerry cans.
The need for clean water is SO massive here. It’s hard to comprehend when we have faucets and water around us at home, but just know that your giving is funding one of the greatest urgent needs in our world today.
Takeaway #3: We are working in some of the most remote areas… on the planet.
We’re strategically working where no one else is.
Where people groups are unreached by the gospel. And where there is a massive need for clean water.
Only 1% of Christian missions giving goes to serve the unreached. And only 10% of Christian missions organizations are working in unreached places.²
All that to say—your giving here is truly serving places no one else is. Meeting urgent physical and spiritual needs in places that are forgotten, unseen, and unserved.
